“ON A WAVE”
Some of the waves in this group show are literal, like Chris Gentile’s spoof of the famous Hiroshige print of a cresting wave (here it’s the curled-up corner of a carpet) or Reed Anderson’s collage of shots from surfer magazines, pierced by lacy holes like bubbles in foaming spray. Other waves are implicit, as in Gwen Smith’s photo of beachfront stairs at Encinitas, with the Pacific in the background. Through Feb. 16. (Jessica Murray, 210 N. 6th St. 718-384-9606.)
