Public Art Projects
Chris Doyle received his BA from Boston College (1981) and
his Masters of Architecture from Harvard University (1985). His
first solo gallery exhibition, In Private, was presented
at Jessica Murray Projects (2002). His public art projects include
Motor Home at The Queens Museum of Art; LEAP in Columbus
Circle; Commutable at the Williamsburg Bridge, Flock
at the Socrates Sculpture Park (New York); and What I See When
I Look At You at The University of Michigan Museum of Art (Ann
Arbor, MI). He has also been included in exhibitions at PS1 Contemporary
Art Center, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Bronwyn Keenan Gallery,
Exit Art, Sculpture Center (New York); Real Art Ways (Hartford);
Galerie J. Fragnera (Prague); and PARK4DTV (Amsterdam). His work
has been reviewed in The New York Times, Time Out, and New
York Magazine. He has been awarded grants from New York Council
for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, Creative Capital,
Percent for Art, and the Public Art Fund. He was also an artist-in-residence
at the McDowell Colony. Doyle lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
